Our damascus knives are forged with a minimum of 266 layers of steel, many knives surpassing that number by several layers! The knife handles are crafted and shaped out of genuine bone, horn, or stag antlers while some knives include handle features of walnut, olivewood, or rosewood. Genuine brass is used in your bolsters, guards, and inlays. These damascus knives use a combination of steels in the forging process. Some blades will use a blending of 1084 high carbon steel and WS1 mild steel, while others use a combination of 1074 high carbon steel and 15N20 bright steel. These knives are Rockwell tested between 52-58 which determines the durability of the blades and its ability to hold a fine edge.
