She is a popular character due to her honest, open, and sweet character as well as her pink and green hair. But Mitsuri also has a weapon that makes her even more unique. Here is how to put together the perfect cosplay and find the perfect Mitsuri sword.

First, Embody the Character

While wearing their clothes and putting on a wig is definitely part of the transformation, it’s also important to know how the character behaves, thinks, and feels. This can help you truly embody Mitsuri beyond the hair.

Mitsuri Kanroji is part of the Demon Slayer Corps in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is known for being passionate and positive, often complimenting people she comes across in her head. She is a bit shy but forms close bonds with her closest friends and has deep devotion to her cause.

Mitsuri is a bit desperate to get married and originally joined the Demon Slayer Corps in hopes of finding a husband stronger than her (she’s very, very strong). Even when she is in trouble or hurt, Misuri is thinking of others, hoping she isn’t dragging them down.

When cosplaying Mitsuri, it’s important to keep an upbeat and positive attitude. You should also keep in mind her abilities and fighting style, which can help you do more accurate poses and interactions as Mitsuri.

Mitsuri Abilities and Fighting Style

Mitsuri is very skilled as a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, even completing the Final Selection within a few months of training. So how is she able to take down such formidable enemies? Mitsuri has a special muscular composition that makes her muscles eight times denser than most people, giving her incredible strength and endurance. To maintain this, Misturi has to eat as much as three sumo wrestlers!

Mitsuri also has a Demon Slayer mark that looks like two upside down hearts with angel wings. When this first showed up, Misturi noticed that her strength and precision dramatically improved. Mitsuri also has incredible flexibility that’s almost superhuman. If that’s not enough, Mitsuri is extremely fast with insane reflexes.

As a Hashira, Mitsuri is one of the best swordswomen in the entirety of the Demon Slayer Corps. She has a super thin and flexible Nichirin Sword that supports her unique sword fighting style. She is so precise, actually, that she has been able to cut through lighting and sound waves. Mitsuri is also known for Love Breathing, which uses her flexibility and sword to unleash powerful attacks with a wide range of motion and a super long range.

Since Mitsuri is known for her insane fighting abilities, it’s very important to have her Whip Nichirin Katana if you plan to cosplay her. This sword is long, thin, and flexible, almost like a whip (hence the name). Despite how dangerous her sword is, the Mitsuri sword is actually quite adorable. The handle is pastel pink and light blue, with pink going down the blade as well. The sheath is white with a pink tip.

If you want to create your own Mitsuri sword, you’ll need scotch tape, packing tape, EVA foam, and synthetic leather. You can print out this template and stick it onto drawing paper with spray glue.

Before you put on a wig, flatten your hair. Try straightening it or putting it in cornrows depending on our hair type and then fit it under a nylon wig cap. You want your hair as close to your head as possible. For a heavier and larger wig like Mitsuri’s, you may want to use a wig grip to keep it in place.

Make sure there are no knots in the wig before putting it on, using silicone spray and a brush. Then hold the wig from the front and slide it on starting from the back. You may need to use hairpins to keep the wig in place.

Mitsuri’s makeup is another key component. She is known for her large, round eyes surrounded by dark eyeliner. You may want to apply fake eyelashes to further the look. Then add a dark, noticeable dot below each eye.

Mitsuri Cosplay Outfit

Bring it all together with Mitsuri’s signature version of the Demon Slayer uniform. Mitsuri wears a white haori that looks like a parka or cape. She also wears a black uniform underneath with the top unbuttoned to a deep V-neck and a pleated skirt. Mitsuri also wears a pair of thigh-high socks that are navy blue with striped lime-green socks and white zori with pink straps that match her hair.
