                    Kirito's Sword Elucidator

You don't need to be a cosplayer to know that there are a lot of anime and video game weapons and gear that are worth collecting replicas of. After all, anime and video games often has the most creatively designed weaponry you'll find in most pieces of fiction.

The cool thing about Sword Art Online, though, is that it sort of combines both the anime and the video game worlds. Being a story that's primarily about a large number of MMORPG players who find themselves trapped in a video game, Sword Art Online has taken the world by storm despite some of the controversies that surround some of the episodes in the latter seasons.

Nevertheless, the anime series has a lot of likable characters that would be fun and awesome to cosplay as. Not to mention there are also a lot of well-designed swords besides Kirito's sword, Elucidator, that appear throughout the series and would be cool to add to a personal collection.

Not sure what those swords are? Well, don't worry, we'll give you a quick rundown of each one we think is worth having a replica made of and displayed. Check them out below:

1. Dark Repulser

The Dark Repulser is the sword that was created by Lisbeth upon Kirito's request, and the sword that would later make its debut and reveal Kirito's hard-kept secret: his Dual-Wield skill.

To craft the sword, however, Kirito and Lisbeth had to complete a special quest that required them to collect a Crystalline Ingot from a dragon's lair. With the materials obtained, Lisbeth was able to make a one-of-a-kind sword, the Dark Repulser, that Kirito paired with his Elucidator.

It was during this quest that Kirito and Lisbeth's friendship developed, and where Lisbeth also felt a pang of jealousy for Kirito and Asuna's relationship.

2. Kagemitsu G4

A heartfelt cry to every Star Wars fan, the Kagemitsu G4 is the laser sword that Kirito used when he went undercover into Gun Gale Online. To solve the mystery of some recent murders that were linked to the game, Kirito was tasked with finding and figuring out the identity of the person behind Death Gun. And in a world filled with guns and firearms, of course Kirito would rather choose to wield Kagemitsu G4, battling all his opponents with his sword-fighting skills.

3. Heaven Piercing Sword

This sword is a Divine Object of Integrity Knight Fanatio, in the Alicization arc. The sword's powers were showcased in the battle between Fanatio and Kirito, during Kirito and Eugeo's climb of the Central Cathedral. The sword itself is capable of gathering and reflecting light and shooting them like lasers. So if you can't have an actual laser sword to collect, display, and cosplay with, having a sword that shoots lasers instead is the next best thing.

4. Fragrant Olive Sword

Another sword that appears in the Alicization arc, the Fragrant Olive Sword belong to Integrity Alice herself. It's an extremely powerful immortal object, forged from an olive tree that grew in the original town of the underworld. The sword itself is capable of splitting into thousands of flowers when attacking, and gave Kirito and Eugo a lot of trouble during their fight with Alice.

5. Blue Rose Sword

Yet another sword whose appearance was in the Alicization arc, the Blue Rose Sword was wielded by Eugo, and had the power to cover large areas in ice and freeze enemies in their tracks. Originating from a rose, this sword also has the ability to sprout thorny roses from the ice, which would then drain the life force of those trapped.

6. Time Piercing Sword

After their initial battle with Alice, Eugeo then fought one-on-one with the Integrity Knight's commander, Bercouli Synthesis One. This sword had the ability to control time. Bercouli himself described it as being able to slice the future, a sword that slices through the vertical axis of time. So while its overall design seems like your typical two-handed blade, the properties that are associated with it are still incredibly cool, worthy of adding to your collection.

7. Lambent Light

Shifting back to the Aincrad arc of the series, one sword whose design deserves praise is Asuna's own Lambent Light. A single-hand rapier, Asuna's teal and silver sword has that sense of grace and elegance to it. Also crafted by Lisbeth, the sword has a beautiful circular hilt and enough stats to help Asuna earn the nickname "The Flash". If you're the type that appreciates fast attacks, then the Lambent Light is definitely a sword worth collecting.

8. Twin Edged Wings

This sword, belonging to Integrity Knight Renly, is the one weapon that doesn't look at all like a sword. It's cross-like shape makes this weapon resemble a shuriken more than a sword. It's capable of making long-ranged attacks, changing trajectory mid-flight, and even returns to the hands of its owner like a boomerang would. If you're looking for an unorthodox sword to collect, the Twn Edged Wings are a perfect fit.

9. Guilty Thorn

One of the more interesting episodes of the Sword Art Online series is when they switched gears and mixed it up in terms of the genre. In Episode 5 of the Aincrad arc, the series goes from Isekai to murder mystery, where Kirito and Asuna worked together to uncover the mystery. The Guilty Thorn is a weapon with a damage-over-time effect, whose effects were used by a player who faked their own death. It's a brown sword with a serrated edge, making it one of the more unique-looking swords in the series.

Kirito's Sword ElucidatorDon't Forget the Elucidator!

Now that we've covered several cool swords besides Kirito's sword Elucidator, it's about time to talk about just how cool this sword is. A one-handed, jet black sword with a silver outline, it's considered one of the best swords in Aincrad, and served as Kirito's signature sword.

So if ever you do decide to try cosplaying as Kirito, make sure that you have the Elucidator and the Dark Repulser with you. While not all of the swords in Sword Art Online have readily-available replicas, Kirito's sword Elucidator is one that is often in stock in many cosplay stores and shops, making it easy for you to get your hands on one. If you're on the lookout for a replica of this sword, you can check out Ice Imports by visiting their website and checking out their selection.
